Posts Tagged ‘books into movies’

I used to be an avid reader. I’d say in the last year I’ve let TV take up too much of my time in comparison to reading. I’m going to work on changing that. Anyway, I used to read on average 2 books a week. It was my favorite thing to do before bed – get all consumed by some story, one that made me forget everything else.

Even though they never live up to expectations, I get incredibly excited when my books I love become movies. For example:

  • Bridgette Jones
  • Chronicles of Narnia (my Dad used to read me these stories)
  • Cold Mountain
  • Eat, Pray, Love
  • Interview with a Vampire
  • Into the Wild
  • Kiss the Girls
  • Little Women
  • Memoirs of Geisha
  • My Sister’s Keeper
  • Mystic River
  • Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
  • Snow Falling on Cedars
  • The Basketball Diaries
  • The Bourne series
  • The Davinci Code
  • The Devil Wears Prada
  • The Graduate
  • The Joy Luck Club
  • The Notebook
  • The Other Boleyn Girl
  • The Time Traveler’s Wife
  • Twilight (…yes Twilight)
  • White Oleander

*If you haven’t read the ones in bold, I would definitely recommend them!

So seeing the preview for Water for Elephants (<– watch me) and Something Borrowed coming out, makes me so excited! Read them. Get excited with me. 🙂
